Ice Classic Will Serve as our competitive program travel meet for the 26/27 Swim Season.
Team Travel is a opportunity that allows athletes to connect with each other over the course of a weekend while moving through a team oriented competition. It is also a tool used by programs to promote accessibility and reduce the cost associated with competition,.
Team travel allows us to use parent chaperones, and pooled resources to have athletes split the costs on travel and accommodation for a meet, while allowing parents to continue working during the timeframe. Both reducing cost, and allowing parents to save their holidays.
We will be strongly encouraging all athletes to team travel, even if parents have the desire to attend and support their swimmer. Learning to conduct oneself while away at a meet, communicating with chaperones and coaches, and being responsible for managing your own time are all valuable skills that allow our athletes to develop ownership, and independence. A tool that will serve them well in swimming and life.
